Otherwise, you can stab yourself when reaching in for forks and knives. You also have to touch the part you eat with after they are clean. Nobody wants your germs on their eating utensils.

I know it sounds O.C.D. but that's how I feel about it. Also, I can't put dishes into the dishwasher without thoroughly cleaning them first. If they have crust or goo on them, they do not go in the dishwasher yet. That sounds wasteful and redundant. Do what you want with your kitchen, but if you come into mine...you've been warned...that's how it goes. ha ha.
Am I alone here? What are your kitchen (or 'otherwise') quirks?
Too funny! And no, you're not alone! We actually had this debate the other nite. Dad told us he heard that you're not supposed to clean your dishes before you put them in the dishwasher, but we all agreed that that is just gross. So yes, my dishes are "clean" too before they're cleaned! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with all your ughs.
ReplyDeleteKim you are not nuts but a person who has standards she believes in and likes to practice in her life. I have rules I follow because it has been a habit I have enjoyed for a long time.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100%- I have MAJOR pet peeves when it comes to my kitchen. Sadly, I hardly ever let Derek wash pots or pans because I think I do such a better job. Control freak much?
