I realize some of the pics are a little blurry. My new lens doesn't have autofocus capability on my camera body. At least it forces me to practice my manual focus, a very useful skill.

Through a New Lens

Thanks to my debit card rewards program, I received a $100 Amazon gift card. I used this bad boy to purchase a lens I've been coveting for months now.

The Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF...this toy is totally worth the money and I haven't even learned how to use it properly, yet.

The post office delivered it today around 3pm. I took a few quick photos of Chloe and then I had to clean. I'm so happy with the few that I took! The nice thing about this lens is that I can take photos of Chloe indoors without having to use my flash! I'm not going to get into the logistics of it because this is not a photography blog and I am (OBVIOUSLY) not a photographer. But, here are my first few shots with the new lens.

Hooray for no flash! I can't wait to perfect my shots with this new lens. Now, if you'll excuse me...the baby is asleep and I want to spend some quality time with my hubby. AND, bastard blogger is making it difficult to upload photos. I don't have time for Blogger's nonsense right now. GRRRR.
